INTRODUCTION

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKU) was established on April 23, 2015, in the Alanya district of Antalya and began its educational activities in 2016. Since its establishment ALKU has continued to grow, providing approximately 16,000 students with a learning environment that meets the needs of the modern world, supported by a well-qualified faculty members and strong infrastructure.

ALKU comprises:

Located in Türkiye’s Mediterranean Region, 135 kilometers east of Antalya city center, Alanya stands out as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations with its natural beauty, historical heritage, and cultural richness.

The fact that Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University is one of the first state universities established outside a provincial center highlights the district’s strategic importance and potential.

Alanya is easily accessible by air and land. The nearest airport, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport, is about 30 minutes from the city center, while Antalya International Airport can be reached by road in approximately two hours. In addition, regular bus services connect Alanya Bus Terminal to all major cities in Turkey.

Getting around Alanya is easy thanks to local transportation options. The university can be reached via local bus lines 101, 202, and 305.

EDUCATION

Through the Office of Foreign Relations — which includes Erasmus, Mevlana, Farabi, Orhun Exchange Program, Free Mover Program, the International Student Office, and the Office of Bilateral Cooperation— students can study at different universities at home or abroad, gain intercultural experience, and develop academic collaborations.

Currently, ALKU hosts 835 international students from 42 different countries and aims to increase this number rapidly in the coming years.
